Ownership of the site

The text, guides, translations, page layout, visual design, icons created for the site and the original source code of florapdf.com are owned by PDFlora or used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may view the site and use its tools for their intended purpose. You may also quote short extracts of our text with a clear reference to florapdf.com, as far as the law allows. Copying substantial parts of the site, republishing its guides or translations, or reproducing its design or code without written permission is not allowed, except where a component is offered under an open-source licence that says otherwise.

You keep the rights in your files

The files you open in our tools, and the files the tools produce for you, belong to you or to whoever held the rights before you used the service. Using PDFlora does not transfer any ownership, licence or other right in your documents to us.

We do not claim any right to your content, and we do not add a watermark or any notice of our own to your output. Browser tools process your files on your device and do not upload them. The four server converters (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HTML to PDF) receive the file only to convert it, keep it in a private temporary folder and delete it automatically after delivery. We do not publish, sell or reuse it.

Only process files you have rights to

You are responsible for making sure that you have the right to open, copy, convert, modify, sign or share every file you process, including any images, fonts and text inside it. This applies in particular to protected documents, third-party publications and files that belong to your employer, your clients or other people.

Our tools are technical utilities. They do not check ownership, do not grant any licence to third-party material and do not make an unlawful use lawful. If you are unsure whether you may use a document, ask the rights holder first.

Open-source and third-party components

florapdf.com is built with open-source and other third-party components, for example libraries for reading, rendering and rewriting PDF files, for recognising text and for creating archives. Each of these components remains the property of its authors and is provided under its own licence. Nothing in this notice replaces or overrides those licences.

The list of components, their authors and their licence terms is published in the OPEN_SOURCE_NOTICES.md notice list that accompanies the software. If you reuse any of those components, you must follow the conditions of their respective licences, including attribution and licence-text requirements.

Fonts used in the interface and in generated documents are used under the licences of their respective authors. The OCR engine and its language data are fetched from a public content delivery network on first use; they too remain under their own licences.

Trademarks

The name PDFlora, its logo and its visual identity are trademarks or distinguishing signs of the operator, whether or not they are registered. You may not use them in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or origin without our written permission.

Product and company names mentioned on the site, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Google and others, belong to their respective owners. They are used only to describe the file formats and technologies our tools work with. Their appearance does not mean that we are affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by those owners.

Links and quotations

You are welcome to link to any page of florapdf.com. Please link to the page rather than copying it, and do not present our content as your own or in a misleading context.

Third-party websites that we link to are outside our control. Their content is protected by their own owners' rights and governed by their own terms.

Requesting a correction or removal

If you believe that content on florapdf.com is wrong, outdated or copies your work, write to hello@capriapp.app with the page address, a short description of the problem and, if you claim ownership, evidence that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them. We will review the request and correct, credit or remove the content where appropriate.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when the site, its components or the applicable rules change. The version published on florapdf.com is the current one. This page is general information about how we handle intellectual property and is not legal advice.
